Iizuka produced "Sakura" with the mother from Sankuro Line, so it has the style that is outside the realm of Sensuke. It gives the rounder impressions on shiroji, plumpness, and the shape of the face. Hiroji Sakai states that the quality of hi is "the mixture of persimmon and pink" On the beni of Sankuro A type, Hachiro Mano says that "The clarity was in a class of its own. It was the bright sakura-beni, so to speak. The beni was just like dropping some blood over the body, and the skin was completely white. There was no darkness in beni - all bright, gorgeous, and piercing." Not only that, the babies produced from them "were just like that in 99% accuracy. All in unison."
This matches Hiroji Sakai's description on the beni quality of "Sakura", "the mixture of persimmon and pink". Persimmon is the hi quality of Sensuke line, pink is of Sankuro line. The the color of hi created with both lines, considered Morita Sensuke as the original, was more advanced as the mother than "Donguri".
There were many masterpieces from the combination in the picture (c). This article is restricted in discussing only parents koi and the winning koi (the runner-up to the grand prize and above) at the 31st Tokyo Competition. Sandan Kohaku exhibited by Nobuo Takigawa (1) which was the runner-up in the 90 bu, was one of them. The offspring of "Sakura", brothers of Takigawa's Sandan Kohaku, and emphasized as the parent koi by Sakai Yogyojo are the two females "Fujiko (ha)" and "Rose (ro)". Yoshimichi Sakai considers among the original parents, "Sakura had the best shiroji", and "the babies will have good volume." The picture of Fujiko (ha) is not excellent due to the facts that the koi was placed in the round tub instead of the canvas container, and that the water was slightly murky. The visiblity is better in the picture (D) which appears later. In any cases, "Sakura line" is characterized by the volume and plumpness, as well as the darker, red-colored beni quality than "Donguri line". The difference is obvious by comparing the pictures (ii) and (b) shown as "Donguri line" and the pictures (1) (ro) (ha) shown as "Sakura line".
